Yoga is one of the best all-round sciences for general health and well-being. Yoga postures strengthen your body, build your immune system, and regularize the functioning of all your internal organs. It also centers your mind, calms your nerves, and makes you happy. Yoga conserves energy while most other exercises dissipate energy.
It is at the premium end of the exercise scale and you would be hard pressed to find an equal competitor to yoga. We work hard to keep it that way.
Our teachings are based on the Gheranda Samhita, one of the three classic texts on yoga, which propagates 7 steps:
- Purification (Shatkarma)
- Postures (Asana)
- Gestures (Mudras)
- Withdrawal of the senses (Pratyahara)
- Breathing (Pranayama)
- Meditation (Dhyana)
- Enlightenmentt (Samadhi)
The Yoga Classes Offered
With the exception of enlightenment, we incorporate all of the steps above into our yoga classes. Something few yoga schools are able to do.
Our yoga classes are very simple to choose from:
- Energize if you want to learn and understand the foundations of Hatha Yoga
- Intense if you want a serious Hatha Yoga workout
- Tranquil if you would like to focus on your inner being
- Advanced Athletic Conditioning (AAC) if you want to go beyond Intense
- Instructor Training Course (ITC) if you want to become a world-class instructor
The hallmark of all our yoga classes are a good balance of postures, centering techniques, and relaxation methods.
